Warning Signs Welcomed on Pentregwenlais Road
Adam Price MP and Rhodri Glyn Thomas AM have welcomed news that the Trunk Road Agency has made it a priority to install warning signs along the Pentregwenlais road in Llandybie. Following letter to the agency by the areas MP and AM highlighting local concern at the dangers along the stretch of road the agency have now committed to erecting the signs and road markings. The work will provide ‘Side Road Ahead’ warning signs and an ‘Araf/Slow’ road marking.
Adam Price MP said:
“We are obviously very pleased to have been able to raise these local concerns and gain a positive outcome. I am hopeful that the signs and road markings will have an immediate impact in making the road safer and protecting the community.”
Rhodri Glyn Thomas AM added:
“We have chased this issue as the original plan was to ensure that the signs and markings would be in place by Autumn 2008. That clearly did not happen but I am pleased that the Trunk Road Agency has recognised the importance of this issue and have designated it a priority. We will of course follow this up promptly is no immediate progress is made.”
