The £50,000 grant secured by the Newcastle Emlyn King George Playing Field Association has been welcomed by the areas MP. Adam Price said the lottery funding will have long lasting effects on the local community and everyone connected with the successful bid should be proud of their achievement. The money will be used for a fenced off toddler area, zip-wire, basketball hoop and a new tyre swing.

Adam Price MP said:

“Winning this grant is fantastic news for the local community. It will make a huge difference to the facilities on offer and I am sure will make a lasting difference. Everyone who put the hard work into this bid should be extremely proud of themselves and I certainly and delighted with the difference this money will make.”

“The area has been in need of investment for some time and the dedication of all those involved with the campaign should be commended. I am delighted that people saw the impact this money could have and voted for it to win.”
