Ambulance Concerns for the County
Adam Price has highlighted concerns with the ambulance cover in Ammanford and the surrounding areas. After the recent tragic death of a Betws mother who endured a long delay for emergency treatment the areas local MP has written to Andy Roughton, Director of the Central and West Ambulance Service, demanding an explanation to the delay.
Adam Price MP said:
“I am very concerned at the delay in responding to this issue. This has been a tragic loss and I have requested information regarding the response. I have spoken to a number of people working on the frontline of the ambulance service who are very concerned with the way the service is going in the county. I am regularly being informed of stations shut and inadequate cover.”
Adam added:
“Morale is at an all time low amongst paramedics and I have taken these issues up with the ambulance service and hope that they can answer these issues. Questions must be asked about what the service has done with the additional millions provided by the Assembly. Clearly the ambulance service has not taken on board the serious concerns raised as a result of the inquiry called by Plaid Cymru.”
